Conductors, by definition, are materials or substances that allow electricity to flow through them. They possess this property because electrons can move within them with ease. In addition to conducting electricity, conductors also facilitate the transfer of heat or light from one source to another.

AAAC / AAC Conductor

AAAC Conductors (All Aluminium Alloy Conductors) are manufactured from high-strength aluminium-magnesium-silicon alloy wires. They are lightweight, provide better tensile strength, offer higher current-carrying capacity, ensure lower electrical losses, and deliver superior corrosion resistance compared to ACSR conductors. Owing to these advantages, AAAC conductors are widely used in both distribution and transmission lines.

Designed for an improved strength-to-weight ratio, AAAC conductors offer excellent electrical properties, superior sag-tension performance, and enhanced durability, making them a reliable alternative to conventional ACSR conductors.

ACSR Conductor

The primary advantage of ACSR (Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced) is its high tensile strength, which provides superior sag characteristics. ACSR conductors are economical, highly suitable for remote locations, and have a long service life.

An ACSR conductor is a concentrically stranded conductor consisting of one or more layers of hard-drawn aluminium wires over a galvanized steel core coated with zinc. Depending on the conductor size, the steel core may be a single wire or multiple wires.

ACSR belongs to the family of overhead, transmission, and power distribution conductors, making it a widely used and reliable choice in the industry.
