Electrical Conductors

Electrical Conductors

Conductors, by definition, are the materials or substances which allow electricity to flow through them. They are able to conduct electricity because they allow electrons to flow inside them very easily. Conductors have this property of allowing the transition of heat or light from one source to another.

AAAC / AAC Conductor

AAAC Conductors or All Aluminium Alloy Conductor are made from high strength aluminium-magnesium-sillicon alloy wires. AAAC are light in weight, better tensile strength & current caring capacity, lower electrical losses and superior corrosion resistance as compared to ACSR conductors. AAAC are widely accepted in distribution and transmission lines.

AAAC Conductors are designed to get better strength to weight ratio and offer improved electrical properties, excellent sag-tension characteristics, and superior corrosion resistance when compared with ACSR.

ACSR Conductor

The advantages of ACSR are its high tensile strength. It has better sag properties. ACSR Conductor cables are more economical and are highly suitable for remote location and have a long life span. Aluminium Conductor Steele Reinforced conductor is concentrically stranded conductor with one or more layer of hard drawn Aluminium wires over galvanized steel core that is coated with zinc. The core can be single wire or multi wire that depends on size of conductor.

ACSR form part of the family of Overhead Conductors, Transmission Conductors and Power Distribution Conductors.

Features:

  • High strength to weight ratio.
  • Better Sag Properties.
  • Economic Design
  • Suitable for remote and long span application
